Chief Petty Officer Khaki or grey Working Uniform
The CPO khaki working uniform will be worn when appropriate or when designated by the Officer Of the Deck (OOD). It will consist of the following:
Khaki uniform 4-button jacket – Khaki jacket with applicable rating patches, longevity stripes. The jacket may be dispensed with aboard ship unless otherwise directed.
Khaki trousers – regulation khaki trousers will be worn.
Khaki Button Up Shirt – The khaki button up shirt will be worn.
Tie - Standard black tie will be worn with the uniform. The tie may be dispensed with while aboard ship unless otherwise directed.
Socks – Black or grey socks will be worn with this uniform.
Shoes - Black – Oxford style service shoes will be worn with this uniform. When aboard ship, roughouts, boondockers, athletic deck shoes, or saltwater sandals may be worn.
Combination Cap – Khaki cover will be considered the standard hat.
Awards – all issued awards will be worn on the uniform jacket only.
*NOTE - The standard grey uniform may be worn in lieu of working khakis. While aboard ship, khakis and greys may be worn intermixed.
